Save the Children in Côte d’Ivoire is recruiting for a Human Resources And Administration Manager, to be based in Abidjan for one (01) year renewal.

The Position:

The Human Resources and Administration Manager, under the supervision of the Human Resources and Administration Director will coordinate the activities of the Human Resources and Administration department.

The Human Resources and Administration Manager Tasks will include but not limited to the following:

HUMAN RESOURCES

  • Help design and implement a coherent organizational structure that is consistent with agency practices and appropriate to program needs ;
  • Support the HR function to ensure that program departments receive adequate HR inputs during development and implementation of all projects/programs
  • Supervise the Human Resources function to ensure that advice and support are provided to managers and staff on interpretation and application of policies and procedures and on other HR related matters;
  • Ensure appropriate recruitment, retention and succession of staff including the design and implementation of compensation and performance management systems relevant for both development and emergencies, and career development for staff…
  • Participate in compensation reviews, cost of living allowance, employee benefit schemes and insurance packages and periodically review to bring in best practices

ADMINISTRATION :

  • Supervise the Administration Officer to ensure the smooth import of capital assets, monitoring of visa process for expatriate staff, accommodations, travel arrangements for staff ;
  • Give support to the Administration Officer to ensure documentation on relationships, Memorandum of Understanding with government agencies, are in place ;

 QUALIFICATIONS ET EXPERIENCE :

  • University degree in law or Human resource with Good knowledge of labor law, an additional diploma in management or equivalent,
  • Minimum of 6 years of HR management experience in a corporate or an NGO environment, over a sustained period of time,
  • Ability to plan and organize a substantial workload that includes complex, diverse tasks and responsibilities in both development and emergency contexts,
  • Willingness and ability to dramatically change work practices and hours, and work with incoming surge teams, in the event of emergencies,
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and French is required (Bilingual),
  • Leadership skills, including the ability to supervise and motivate qualified professional staff with strong personal value systems,
