BO IN/VAS TECHNICAL EXPERT
Description du poste
The BO IN/VAS Technical Expert is the highest level of IN and VAS expertise within the GNOC. The IN/VAS Technical expert provides service restoration capability, change management capability technical training to other GNOC departments as well as to FLM and participates in technical process development and review, and problem management
- Carry out expert level service restoration activities on significant, complex or high impact faults – ensure that all actions are carried out within SLA.
- Conduct and where necessary, interface with equipment vendors on problem investigations,
- Perform health checks and carry out preventative maintenance on transport network elements.
- Develop and participate in IN/VAS network change activities (new element integration, capacity expansion, software update and upgrade), network re-configurations.
- Interface with FLM staff for maintenance activities.
- May be required to supervise lower level engineers on BO tasks.
Profil du poste
Work experience
Minimum of 10 years experience in network operations – FO, BO and FLM roles with a minimum of 5 years BO including multi-operator experience – mandatory.
Required knowledge and skills:
- SMSC, RBT etc) – essential.
- High level of competency in Unix/Linux/Windows operating systems – mandatory.
- High level knowledge of enterprise databases – essential.
- High Level of competence with IP protocols – essential.
- Experience of real time, 24x7 operations – essential.
- Ability to meet targets under a high stress operational environment – essential.
- Strong communication skills – essential.
- Language skills – fluency (written and verbal) in English – essential.
- Language skills – fluency (written and verbal) in either Chinese or French – desirable
