We are reinforcing our team and offering an Operation Manager position.

Missions
Directly linked to the Company Management, you will be in charge to supervise all the activities of the Operation department, ensuring that the services are constantly rendered on a safe, timely, efficient and cost effective manner to our clients.

Responsibilities
Manage the Operations and Customer Service
Develop our Logistics, Shipping and Husbandry activities
Supervise and control invoicing, cost control and profitability of the job files
Prepare, issue and follow-up the quotations sent to the customers.

Main Activities
▪ Organize the departments, coach and train the staff, and ensure cohesion within the team.
▪ Issuance, improvement, and implementation of procedures.
▪ Develop our set-up and partnerships with local vendors and overseas agents.
▪ Ensure a constant, efficient and quality Customer Service with our existing clients.
▪ Prepare and supervise operations to ensure a good achievement of customs clearance, handling and delivery of air & sea, import & export shipments to the various places of destination (vessels, Abidjan and remote locations), taking into account the priority levels.
▪ Provide all necessary information and back-up for the preparation of invoices and review the issued invoices.
▪ Control all costs related to the operations and ensure that profitability ratios are reached on all job files.
▪ Achieve all complementary tasks asked by the Company Management.

Profil du poste

Profile
You have a Master’s degree in Transport and Logistics, Business or equivalent.
Strong knowledge of national and international import/export legislation, including customs regimes, customs procedures and HS classification.
Between 5 and 10 years of experience in shipping, freight forwarding, customs clearance, air, sea and road transportation, large project handling as a plus.
Proven experience in management of a team.

Effective communication skills and ability to handle multiple tasks all with an attention to fine detail.
Analysis, anticipation, organization skills, focussed on results.
Negotiation and conviction skills. Team worker and creative force.
Ability to work under pressure.
A solid network with the port, airport authorities, customs, trucking companies, shipping lines,…
Good knowledge of MS office (Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook).

Dynamic, thorough, autonomous, team leader, with a high standard of compliance and ethic.
Good command of French, English, both written and spoken.
Eager to prove your capabilities and to rapidly evolve and gain responsibilities in a promising structure.
