ELECTRICAL TECHNICIAN
Description du poste
a) Carries out maintenance of the Facility’s marine and Process electrical systems, associated equipment and utilities safely under direction of Electrical Supervisor.
b) Ensures the electrical distribution system is maintained and in a safe working condition, operated within the design parameters.
2- PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
a) Carries out and assists in Maintenance and repair work, shutdowns, isolations and planned maintenance on all Facility equipment.
b) Be familiar with the Facility’s electrical equipment, safe operation and maintenance. Fully understands the safety requirements, including Permit to Work systems, operational and emergency procedures, Company policy and instructions.
c) Maintains facility electrical equipment within all applicable codes, regulations and standards.
d) Maintains rating of all electrical hazardous area equipment.
e) Liaises with her/his Supervisor for stores and spare part management and monitors the consumption.
f) Understands and performs an electrical isolation as per Permit to Work procedure under the supervision of the Electrical Supervisor.
g) Before any intervention, discusses with his/her Supervisor the activity in terms of safety, maintenance tasks, spare parts, manning requirements, execution time etc. If any doubt exists, the Electrical Technician must ask for guidance, details from his/her Supervisor.
h) Before any intervention, reads and follows the maintenance procedure that relates to the job. Ensures the Electrical Isolation on equipment is well performed following the Permit to Work Isolation Standards.
i) Routine Maintenance on electrical control panel - Fills out the record sheet of main parameter; be capable of interpreting it and reporting to his/her Supervisor should there be any problems, or parameter drift.
j) Black Start Procedure: be familiar with the Black Start Procedure and its application.
k) Participates in the failure root cause investigation/troubleshooting of equipment.
Profil du poste
1- EXPERIENCE
a) 5+ years’ experience preferably with a background in Oil and Gas or Power Generation Industries
b) Proven experience maintaining electrical equipment as:
Generator technologies/ HV/LV Electrical motors/ Power supply/ UPS/ Inverter/ Rectifier/ Variable Frequency Drive (VFD)/ Switch Board/ bus bar/ Emergency Switch Board/ High Voltage isolations and switching/ Black Start Operations/ Isolation procedures/ Earthing systems/ Gas turbine driven generators/ Electrical distribution panels HV/LV/ Power Transformers/ Batteries technologies, Hazardous Area Electrical
c) Be able to understand, interpret control parameters through Electrical control panel/ HMI console, Power Management/ Electrical Control systems PMS/ECS.
2- PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS
a) Electrical Technician/Trade certificate
b) Hazardous Area Electrical trained / COMPEX 1-4
c) HV/LV Switching Training
d) Excellent written and spoken command of English language
e) Skills to work with CMMS Maximo and MS Office
f) Offshore medical
g) Offshore survival
