SUB-REGION DISTRIBUTOR CHANNEL MANAGER
Mission Statement
- Responsible for the coordination of Sub-region Distributors Channel business and the implementation of effective Business development
- Measures to ensure the promotion and generation of sales of PP division products and services in accordance with company directives.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Increase the Distributors Channel volume in the sub-region across all potential
- PPHV, PPMV and PPTR BU product lines
- Setup business development plan and action plans by sub-region/ country.
- Set goals for market share & growth by market in the sub-region/country.
- Identify, drive and pursue new business opportunities with different distributors,
- wholesalers, resellers by selecting appropriate company products /services
- enablers.
- Identify Distributor sales requirements/gaps in target and main countries and
- develop plan for local distributor organization in the sub-region/country.
- Establish strategic partnerships with specific distributors.
- Work jointly with Focus Factory Teams and Front End Sales to establish and
- implement business plan objectives, organizational policies, communication
- and working relationships.
- Provide technical support and training to distributor customer for designated
- products and services.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Knowledge: Distributor/Channel sales experience a clear asset.
Education: Bachelor of Sciences in Electrical Engineering
Prior Work Experience:
3-5 years of experience in sales. Must have broad knowledge of technology, marketing, and sales
operations as it relates to operating a distributor business.
Language proficiency: Fluency in both spoken & written English, French is a must.
Post Entry Training: ABB Code of conduct, ABB legal procedures, IS security awareness.
Problem Solving: Ability to identify and define existing problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
Innovation: Working on growing the channel and think for new ideas to attract new distributors
and convince them to invest with stock.
Skills & Abilities:
Requires strong communication skills to influence managers and negotiate internally to ABB and with customers. Requires in-depth understanding of corporate and business unit technical and commercial strengths, interrelation ships with markets, ability to resolve problems, and interpret cause and effect. Requires planning skills and ability to set and translate corporate and business unit goals and objectives into realistic marketing and sales development plans.
