A HEAD OF CORPORATE & INSTITUTIONAL CLIENTS (CIC)

1. JOB TITLE             Head of Corporate & Institutional Clients (CIC), Côte d'Ivoire

2. JOB PURPOSE    To originate, lead and develop the Client Relationships strategy in country, the marketing and management of delivery of ail products in accordance with the Global business strategy.

3.  KEY RESPONSIBILITIES  

  • Customer & Franchise Management
  • Management of client relationships and country sales processes for ail products across the client organization globally (origination oriented);
  • Joint overall responsibility with the Treasury Head for the development, preparation, implementation and delivery of country strategic plan, working in close liaison with the Country Chief Executive Officer and Global Product partners;
  • Identification of business opportunities, both in-country and globally, and;
  • Successful implementation of country franchise plans.

Financial Management

  • Deliver the country CIC revenue and budget with the Head of Treasury and deliver cost saving target for re-investment

Corporate Governance

  • Ensure In-country joint Head of CIC with the Treasury Head
  • Ensure that assets efficiency deliver RIWAC target;
  • Guarantee AML and client appropriateness to ensure the business meets its obligations on the prevention of money laundering under the Group Policy and Standards and under local laws and regulations;
  • Maintain good relationship with the Regulators with ability to contribute and where possible influence policy formulation ;
  • Keep abreast of ail the changes in the global environment and give the Regulators a good feel of our strategy and expected achievements ; Ensure adherence to proper conduct and professional behaviour of ail CIC staff and enforcement of disciplinary action on deviation from such desired behaviour.

Communication

  • Develop and oversee the communication of the client relationship goals and objectives in the country;
  • Ensure constant and consistent communication relating to challenges, achievements and changes in the Commercial Banking environment to ail CIC staff in the country;

People & Talent Management

  • In consultation with the appropriate Client segment Head / Function Head, responsibility in the appointment and management of compensation and career for ail the CIC department staff in the Country;Jointly responsible with the Country Treasury Head for managing the Graduate Associates and Management Associates programmes, i.e. determining the numbers to hire, and manage the recruitment and development process.

Risk Management

  • Support and implement the global standards of risk and control
  • Through the Country Chief Information Officer, ensure technology and operations platform is in line with Global standards to support current and planned business volumes;
  • Active participation in the country Assets and Liability Committee for management of bank's assets and liabilities positions & market risks issues and operating within the internai policies and guidelines to maintain the statutory, operational and stress liquidity targets and ratios at ail times.
  • Remain alert to the risk of money laundering and assist in the Bank's efforts in combating it by adhering to the key principles in relation to the principle ofidentifying your customer, knowing your customer, reporting suspicions, safeguarding records and not disclosing suspicions to customers"
  • Remain alert to the operational risk and assist in the Bank's efforts in operational risk management by adhering to the key principles in relation to the principle of: "identification and management of operational risks".

4.  KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE        

A minimum of 10 years of experience in the banking industry with 5 years as Department Head / Director;

  • A strong experience of Both Asia and Africa markets is a must;
  • A sound knowledge of ail Group Treasury products;
  • Business judgment including both Credit & Business risk assessments;
  • Broad knowledge of banking practices and local banking regulation;
  • Ability to manage and motivate a culturally diverse team;
  • Good analytical and decision making skills;
  • Ability to market and establish client relationships in Côte d'Ivoire and beyond;
  • Ability to work in a matrix organization;
  • Ability to communicate at ail levels of the organization internally & externally;
  • Continuous judgement is needed with regards to the movement in external economic factors and their impact on client relationships;
  • Ability to work in a multi-product and multi-cultural environment;
  • Fluent in English and French both speaking and reading;
  • A minimum of Masters Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business school
