The Fullstack Developer & DBA designs, develops, and maintains web applications end-to-end — from user interface to backend services — while also administering, optimizing, and securing the underlying databases, ensuring performance, reliability, and data integrity across the solution.
ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and develop frontend interfaces based on UX/UI mockups and functional specifications.
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services, APIs, and business logic.
- Integrate frontend components with backend APIs and third-party services.
- Design, model, and maintain relational and/or NoSQL database schemas.
- Administer databases: installation, configuration, performance tuning, and monitoring.
- Implement backup, restore, and disaster recovery procedures.
- Manage database security, access rights, and compliance with data protection standards.
- Optimize queries, indexes, and overall application performance.
- Ensure cross-browser compatibility and responsive design (desktop, mobile, tablet).
- Participate in testing (unit, integration) and defect resolution across the stack.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.
- Document developed components, database structures, and adhere to coding standards.
TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED
- HTML5/CSS3, JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Frontend frameworks: React, Angular, or Vue.js.
- Backend frameworks/languages: Node.js, Java (Spring), .NET, or Python (Django/FastAPI).
- Database management systems: PostgreSQL, MySQL/MariaDB, Oracle, SQL Server, and/or MongoDB.
- Database administration: backup/restore, replication, performance tuning, indexing strategies.
- Consuming and building REST/GraphQL APIs.
- Version control (Git) and CI/CD tools.
- Cloud/on-premise infrastructure basics (Docker, Linux) a plus.
- Testing frameworks (Jest, Cypress) and design systems (Tailwind, Material UI).
SOFT SKILLS
- Strong analytical skills and rigor in handling data and system reliability.
- Attention to detail and high standards for code quality and user experience.
- Ability to collaborate with UX/UI designers, backend developers, and infrastructure teams.
- Autonomy in managing end-to-end technical ownership of a feature or module.
- Active monitoring of frontend/backend framework and database technology developments.
- Fluent in English and French.
DESIRED PROFILE
Bachelor's/Master's degree (Bac+3/5) in Computer Science or equivalent with a minimum of 6 years of professional experience. Relevant certifications a plus: framework certifications (React, Angular, Node.js) and/or database certifications (Oracle OCP, Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL).
Fluent in English and French, both written and spoken.
