DRIVER MANAGER

Description du poste

Manage and oversee the company with timely and efficient transportation-related duties of goods, materials, and passengers to designated locations in a safe manner.

First port of call and supervision of all drivers
•
Devise rotas and arrange cover including scheduling annual leave to ensure the transportation needs of the business are met
•
Ensure all drivers have the appropriate competency and skills with relevant documentation
•
Assist with the transport of workers, contractors, clients, and various items and materials to and from specified places in a safe and timely way in accordance with company policies and procedures.
•
Safely operate company vehicles in compliance with traffic laws and regulations.
•
Assisting with the loading and offloading of luggage, products, and materials.
•
Plan and adjust travel routes to avoid traffic congestion or road construction to ensure efficiency.
•
Maintain regular and accurate mileage logs and regular communication with Management in relation to work requests.
•
Ensure company vehicles are clean and properly maintained by performing regular washing, cleaning and vehicle checks addressing any maintenance or safety issues promptly.
•
Provide and maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption and other relevant information.
•
Report any accidents, injuries, and vehicle damage to management promptly.
•
Provide high levels of customer service in line with company standards.
•
Ensure all documentation and licences are up to date and available.
•
Coordinate with logistics to ensure efficient communication on daily delivery and transportation activities. This job description is not an exhaustive list, and the post holder will be expected to help and assist with other duties as and when required.

Profil du poste

•
Minimum of high school education
•
Excellent communication skills including high level of written and spoken English language
•
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
•
Focus on providing quality service
•
Previous experience as a driver with a track record of safe driving practices.
•
Sound knowledge of road safety regulations.
•
Working knowledge of local roads and routes.
•
The ability to utilize maps, GPS systems, and car manuals safely.
•
Strong work ethic, punctual and reliable with a sound attendance record
•
Well organized and excellent time management skills.
•
Computer literate with Microsoft Office.
•
Safety conscious and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.
•
Purposeful and resourceful
•
Ability to keep calm and focused on pressurised situations
•
Adapts to changing schedules often at short notice
•
Excellent working as a leader and as well as a team member
•
Excellent health including vision and hearing
