SALES AND MARKETING MANAGER FOR FRANCOPHONE AFRICA, ABIDJAN

As a Sales and Marketing Manager, you will be a part of Low Voltage Division and based at Abidjan. ABB is World’s leader in Low Voltage Business and Services, the key components are Breakers and Switches, Enclosures and Din Rail, and Wiring Accessories.

Tasks:

As a Sales and Marketing Manager your tasks will be as follows:

  • To be responsible for volumes, prices & conditions, develop sales strategic plans for the Low Voltage business in the domestic market. 
  • To agree on targets with Local Division Manager and Business Unit Managers. 
  • To define together with the Sales team strategies by sales channels, market and business and you should have the full budget and profitable growth target responsibility for the domestic market and for all 5 Low Voltage Products business units. 
  • To assure the communication, promotion and training activities and aligns in full compliance with HR policies, processes and standards. 
  • To be responsible of the drives strategic partnership and develop lasting and fruitful relations with the customers management. 
  • To decide on pricing strategy in accordance with the business. 
  • To maintain balance between indirect/direct sales and channels, ensure together with Human Resources (HR) that the team is properly organized, staffed and directed and lead, motivate, coach and develop the employees within the official (HR) guidelines. 
  • To Lead the local division marketing activities: Marketing Communication, Web Portal, strategic marketing, training and perform market studies and analysis of trends.
  • To select target segments, research for inorganic growth opportunities, represents Local Division in Group or Divisional marketing or segmentation team, Identify of business opportunities.

Requirements:

Ideally you'll hold Bachelor and Master degree in Economics or Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 8-12 years of experience in Electrical Engineering & Sales or Sales Management within a multinational business and fluency in spoken & written English language is a must.

French language is a plus.
