SENIOR ACCOUNTANT SYSCOHADA

𝐏𝐔𝐑𝐏𝐎𝐒𝐄 / 𝐎𝐁𝐉𝐄𝐂𝐓𝐈𝐕𝐄
Reporting to the Head of Financial Accounting (Tax-Syscohada and Payroll), the Senior Accountant SYSCOHADA is responsible for following up with all local accounting matters in accordance with SYSCOA / OHADA standards in order to provide high quality advice to senior management.
𝐊𝐄𝐘 𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐏𝐎𝐍𝐒𝐀𝐁𝐈𝐋𝐈𝐓𝐈𝐄𝐒
• Manage switching from IFRS to local finance with regards to SYSCOHADA assessment
• Importing and retreating information from Pronto software towards Sage software after accurate
• Mapping
• Coordinating accounting functions and programs
• Follow all local accounting matters (SYSCOA, OHADA)
• Analysing, maintaining, and reconciling balance sheet and general ledger accounts on Syscohada
• basis
• Assisting with Legal audit preparations. Prepare and timely provide supporting documentation
• Investigating and resolving audit findings, account discrepancies, and issues of non-compliance
• Assist in preparation of financial statements according to local accounting standards
• Assist in Group accounting compliance
• Prepare and timely provide supporting documentation for audits
• Assist supervisor and management in financial planning and analysis
• Performing other accounting duties and supporting junior staff as required or assigned
• Demonstrate personal commitment regarding safety and environmental and Social Responsibility practices
• Ensure that agreed procedures, safeguards and controls are applied and used
• Ensure all activities are conducted safely and in accordance with Company standards and procedures
• Ensure hazard management plans are observed
• Keep statutory and internal reporting as required
Profil du poste
• Minimum 7 years in local accounting
• Minimum 3 years in mining
• Demonstrated strong knowledge of accounting standards and Ivorian government
• Strong communication and commercial awareness to provide high quality advice to senior management.
• Extensive forward-looking forecasting and tax planning
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to influence
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong computer skills
• Proficiency in French and English
