FACILITIES SCHEDULER

 

Description du poste

1. Roles
Reporting to Facilities Planner, the Facilities Scheduler is responsible for providing technical expertise to ensure the planning schedules for AGO’s facilities and infrastructure are achieved against set performance targets and KPI’s.
2. Major tasks and responsibilities of position
Planning
• Ensure the planning schedules for AGO’s facilities and general infrastructure are achieved.
• Plan, estimate, and prepare warehouse materials and major tools.
• Plan, estimate, and obtain procured materials and contracted services according to authorization limits.
• Plan, estimate, and identify the required labour, services, and skills.
• Plan capacity for support equipment, logistics, manpower, and workshop space
• Maintain a long-term planning and scheduling strategy to minimise backlog, utilising effective component condition monitoring techniques.
• Maintain and utilise planning attainment KPI’s to continuously improve maintenance and planning practices daily.
• Development of equipment component forecasts and schedules each month, reporting on attainment to site Maintenance teams.
Scheduling
• Prepare and issue work schedules.
• Prepare and issue schedule of proposed equipment downtime.
• Facilitate weekly maintenance scheduling meetings.
• Attend daily meetings for feedback and adjustments.
• Organize staging of materials and tooling in line with the weekly plan.
Compliance / Quality Control
• Promote and adhere to appropriate internal methodologies, policies, procedures and standards.
• Consistently maintain a high quality of work across all allocated functions.
• Provide input/informed commentary, improvement opportunities and areas of risk to management.
• Ensure the quality of work output from the department is achieved against company standards and monitored daily to ensure delivery meets expectations.
• Ensure compliance with all statutory and company standards through training and development of staff and promoting by example.
• Actively contribute an improvement culture by actively encouraging employees to participate in continuous improvement, capturing their initiatives and providing feedback.
Safety Management:
• Demonstrate personal commitment regarding safety and environmental and Social Responsibility practices.
• Ensure every person within the team is fit for work.
• Ensure that agreed procedures, safeguards and controls are applied and used.
• Ensure all activities are conducted safely and in accordance with Company standards and procedures.
• Ensure hazard management plans are observed.
• Keep statutory and internal reporting as required.

3. Position Requirements
Education:
• Technical Diploma or Trades Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Maintenance or similar
Relevant experience:
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in maintenance planning for fixed plant equipment on large scale operations.
• Working knowledge of maintenance planning and scheduling on fixed plant equipment.
• Experience working with various CMMS.
• French language skills desired, not essential.
• Experience within the mining sector in Africa preferred.
• Working experience with Microsoft Excel & Word.
• Able to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization and build effective relationships and networks.
• Possesses strong training and mentoring skills.
• Demonstrates strong conceptual skills and be capable of developing lateral and practical solutions.
• Ability to respond to a changing work environment.
• The ability to manage multiple projects and tasks at the same time.
