PARTNERSHIP COORDINATOR, DALOA
The role
The Partnership Coordinator will provide leadership in strengthening local buy-in and ownership from key stakeholders working to address child labor in cocoa. Under the direct line management of the Project Director, s/he will develop a strategic approach for improving the monitoring, reporting, and remediation of child labor through coalition building with diverse stakeholders from cooperatives, local government, private sector, and service providers. The Partnerships Coordinator, in close collaboration with the other staff in the country team, especially the Award Management team has the oversight and quality assurance responsibility for the project implementing partner agreement and MOUs with governmental and non-governmental partners.
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor's degree in Government, Business Administration, Child Rights or similar field
- Minimum of three years professional experience in government relations, corporate social responsibility, sustainability, business and human rights, and/or private-sector social compliance programs
- Proven experience in stakeholder engagement, coalition building, and public-private partnerships to address social issues, including labor rights, and provision of remediation services
- Knowledge of labor laws and remediation resources and services in Cote d’Ivoire
- Understanding of key labor issues within cocoa supply chains, including child labor
- Ability to meet deadlines, achieve targets, and provide all required inputs to deliverables
- Sound understanding of project management
- Experience in organizational capacity development, training, mentoring, and coaching
- Strong analytical and conceptual skills and the ability to think and plan strategically
- An excellent team player good interpersonal skills and consultative approach for informed decision making
- Demonstrated experience in technical report writing
- Politically and culturally sensitive with qualities of patience, tact and diplomacy
Contract length: 24 months renewable
