1- PURPOSE & OBJECTIVE
Reporting to the Issuing/Receiving Officer, the Storeman is responsible for receiving, storing (including protection and maintenance) and issuing of materials/goods within the Company's policies and procedures and stock control services on a day-to-day basis.
2- KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Tasks & Activities:
• Ensure materials reception and physical control at the warehouse according to applicable reception procedures including packages unloading, quantity and quality control, data entry of reception into the system, issuance of bug report if necessary.
• Store materials in provided locations.
• Manage lists preparation and ensure good communication between departments.
• Ensure equipment delivery to customers within the deadline.
• Conduct continuous audits related to various tasks assigned to the team as to evaluate their compliance with established standards; draft required management reports.
• Organize and assign work within the shift crew to meet the daily requirements of customers.
• Plan the physical storage requirements of stocked items and use of a range of equipment to assist in materials handling in the Stores.
• Housekeep (in a safe and timely manner) in areas under the Stores control.
• Daily dispatch requirements, in liaison with site departments to ensure that goods dispatched are packaged carefully regarding the safety of both the goods and those handling them.
• Maintain accurate filing and archiving of warehouse records deemed necessary by the Accounts/Auditing Departments.
• Recording and reporting stocks transactions and movements.
• Liaise with the Logistics Officer in Abidjan for shipments and deliveries planning.
• Maintain documentation for receiving and dispatching of items.
• Assist the warehouse supervisor in month end activities and reports.
• Keep the stock movements’ register updated.
• Report hazards and health and safety issues within the warehouse and maintain a record as well as actions taken.
• Operate the telehandler and forklift by following Operator’s daily checklist.
• Inspect items and report all findings on the checklist.
• Conduct cyclic stock counts to ensure that every stock item is checked at least once each month and be able to investigate discrepancies, recommend establishing controls to limit stock losses.
Staff Development:
• Provide supervision, guidance, coaching and technical assistance and support to the team.
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of the team to identify areas requiring improvement and implement training and coaching measures to ensure employees receive sufficient training enabling them to perform their duties in a safe and efficient manner.
• Promote and develop the skills of subordinates through the transfer of technology and skill development through on-the-job training programs.
• Conduct formal career development discussions with employees and identify development opportunities and programs that assist with defining future career progression possibilities.
• Encourage and facilitate effective and supportive communication between all team members and related departments.
Safety Management:
• Demonstrate personal commitment in regard to safety and environmental and Social Responsibility practices.
• Ensure every person within team is fit for work.
• Ensure that agreed procedures, safeguards and controls are applied and used.
• Ensure all activities are conducted safely and in accordance with Company standards and procedures
• Ensure hazard management plans are observed.
• Keep statutory and internal reporting as required.
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS
Safety :
• Comply with dangerous, hazard material management in collaboration with environment and safety.
• Daily perform risk assessment of work area.
• Comply with material handling, storage and disposal safety requirements.
• Achieve zero (0) department fatalities per year.
• Achieve zero (0) LTI for department per year.
All In Sustaining Costs (AISC)
• Achieve zero (0) unplanned absenteeism per month.
• Achieve at least 98% inventory accuracy
• Achieve 99.5% damage free
• Actively assist in yearly physical inventory control
• Generate and share one cost saving idea/initiative per quarter with supervisor
Production
• Daily receive and properly store materials.
• Conduct monthly stock counts to ensure that every stock item is checked, and report on any discrepancy.
• Perform daily dispatch requirements.
• Perform daily housekeeping.
Cashflow
• Adhere to material consumption limits within agreed monthly budget.
• Monitor and report any variances between material consumption and budget to supervisor each week.
• Achieve zero payment for settlement of SCM-related claims
CONSTRAINTS, FRAMEWORKS & BOUNDARIES
• Ensure that all site procedures are adhered to with respect to purchases and that operations comply with all relevant government and statutory Laws, Acts and Regulations.
• Follow Endeavour’s expenditure approval matrix for all operating and capital expenses.
• Report any breaches in compliance particularly with all statutory requirements and company standards.
CHALLENGES
• Maintain a high level of clerical accuracy for all data recorded.
• Minimise the risk of stock losses from the Warehouse by conducting personal activities to
the highest ethical standards as well as securing the Warehouse from unauthorised entry.

3- SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
Education:
- Bac + 2 in any discipline
Relevant experience:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in similar role
- High attention to detail
- French written and verbal language skills essential
- Computer literacy and working experience with MS Office package
- Good conceptual skills to be capable of developing solutions
- Ability to respond to a changing work environment
- Ability to manage multiple tasks at the same time
- Reputation for integrity and ethics
