The Delegation of German Industry and Commerce in Côte d'Ivoire (AHK Côte d'Ivoire), based in Abidjan, is part of the global network of German Chambers of Industry and Commerce, which are represented in 93 countries. It is dedicated to promoting and strengthening economic exchange and bilateral investment between Côte d'Ivoire and Germany. With the support of the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology (BMWK), the AHK Côte d'Ivoire opened in Abidjan in June 2023 and covers the countries of francophone West Africa (Benin, Burkina Faso, Côte d'Ivoire, Guinea, Mali, Senegal and Togo) as well as Cameroon.
The Competence Center for German Export Finance (FKZ) is part of the Delegation of German Industry and Commerce in Côte d'Ivoire and was opened in October 2023. It promotes and advises on German export credit guarantees as an export promoting instrument. The FKZ is covering all of Sub-Saharan Africa.
As part of the expansion of the AHK Côte d'Ivoire and the Competence Center for German Export Finance, a position of Project and Administrative Assistant is available that will provide 60% support to the FKZ and 40% to the administrative department of the AHK Côte d'Ivoire.
Job Description
The project and administrative assistant plays a key role in the preparation and follow-up of business trips, internal organisation and administration, secretarial support and the planning and implementation of events..

Profil du poste
For the Competence Center for German Export Finance
• Preparation of business trips for the financing expert (applications, hotel, flight, visa, local transportation)
• Preparation of content for specific countries (researching and contacting national stakeholder)
• Follow-up of business trips of the financing expert
• Keep a record of all contacts and developing the necessary databases
• Preparen and follow-up of events
• Develop and use of information material
• Process initial inquiries
• Support with social media
For the Administration
• Request quotations and pro-formas of various service providers
• Regular update of the contact database
• Preliminary review of travel expense reports
• Filing
• Support with website updates
• Reception and secretarial support
• Support the Delegation with all other necessary tasks
Necessary Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in one of the following fields: Business, Event Management, Administration or similar.
• 3 to 5 years of professional experience in a similar role
• Excellent French and English language skills are a must, German language skills are a plus.
• Experience in event management.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Excellent time management and stress resistance
• Organizational skills, sense of responsibility and reliability
• Problem solving oriented work style
• Independent, proactive and team player
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent IT skills: MS Office, communication tools, experience with CRM systems and IBEXA is desirable
• - Residency in Côte d'Ivoire and work permit (for foreign nationals)
