COST CONTROL SPECIALIST

Job Code Mission: Establish and manage a cost control system in order to support the PM decision-making process and allow him to complete the project within the approved budget. Ensure any deviation from budget is promptly spotted and analyzed, final impact is estimated, and the effect of corrective actions taken is monitored. Create a cost awareness atmosphere among project team. Satisfy the Operating Company and Corporate requirements for the cost control reporting, cooperating with the proper interfaces.


Review budget according to the periodicity defined by the corporate, identifying and analyzing deviations, through survey of information of planned activities with the project team and monitoring the issuance of purchase orders and service.
Issue corporate reports (Project Status Report, cash flow), through Cost Control Report consolidating the main financial information of the project.
Include budgeted amounts in the SAP System and extract final reports for inclusion in the corporate portal through specific SAP transactions.
Check the guaranteed purchase orders that are properly allocated to the WBS structure provided for in the budget, through specific SAP transactions and aligning with the cost report information.
Record invoices issued to the customer and their payment through the Invoice Registry.
Collect data needed for monthly issuance of intercompany invoices, as well as preparation of annual intercompany work orders, from the data of accounting entries.
Issue monthly accounting provisions for costs and revenues, based on billing information and activities performed.
Support the identification, analysis and monitoring of risks and opportunity, through the collection of information with the project team, using the tools provided by the company.
Promote a culture of cost optimization that guarantees the execution of the contract within the expected budget, ensuring access to information on approved budgets and their deviations.
Monitor the allocation of hours to the project, through the time registration report and tools provided by the company.
Other duties that are correlated to the function as instructed by the Supervisor.
Need to be fully familiar and comply with Company Policies, Quality, HSE and all Procedures assigned to his title/position.

knowledge and skills: Business and commercial contracts; Control techniques; Cost control techniques; Information systems supporting the control of project costs; Project and company report; Project control procedures; Estimated project performance; Project planning, scheduling, monitoring and control techniques; Project productivity analysis; Risk management techniques and golden rules; Labor / cost division structure; Division structure management.
SAP program, PSR process, Excel, Basic Accounting. Advanced English.

Bachelor's degree.
Preferable Postgraduate degree Administration, Economics, Accounting, Financial Management.

Experience: Between 3 and 5 years.

Good English Level
