Supply Chain Bilingal Manager for an international distribution company (Perfumes & Cosmetics, Spirits, Watches and accessories), to be based in Abidjan


Our Client, a leading distributor of high-quality perfumes and cosmetics, Spirits, Watches and accessories entering the West African Market, is looking for a trustworthy and experienced Supply Chain Manager. The successful candidate will oversee and optimize their supply chain operations and will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end supply chain process, from procurement to distribution. He/She will collaborate with various stakeholders, optimize logistics, and ensure timely delivery of products while maintaining high standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage supply chain relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts and terms to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of different categories starting perfumes and cosmetics.

Monitor supplier performance, conduct regular evaluations, and address any issues to maintain a reliable and high-quality supply chain.

Develop and implement inventory strategies to optimize stock levels, minimize carrying costs, and reduce product obsolescence.

Coordinate transportation, shipping, and distribution activities to ensure on-time delivery of products to various locations within Kenyan cluster.

Streamline logistics processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement cost-effective solutions to enhance efficiency.

Establish quality control measures to uphold product standards and compliance with regulatory requirements in the cosmetics industry.

Work closely with relevant departments to ensure adherence to quality standards and resolve any quality-related issues proactively.

Lead and mentor the supply chain team, providing guidance, training, and support to optimize performance and achieve departmental goals.

Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and finance teams to align supply chain strategies with overall business objectives.

Key skills/Qualifications:

A Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field.

Minimum of 7 years of experience in supply chain management, preferably within the cosmetics or FMCG industry.

Proficient understanding of procurement processes, inventory management, logistics, and distribution strategies.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.

Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.

Familiarity with regulatory requirements and quality standards in the cosmetics industry is an added advantage.

Impeccable reputation and trust is a must in the position.
