Technical Representative

Reports To

Location
Primarily based in West Africa, with frequent travel required.

Duties and Responsibilities
Client Communication:

Explain and demonstrate the products, their features, capabilities, and benefits to clients.
Install products in containers at client premises and oversee the loading operations.
Client Relationship Development:

Build and maintain strong relationships with client field teams to ensure positive feedback to their upper management.
Coordination with Head Office Technical Team:

Maintain regular contact with the head office technical team to stay updated on product improvements and installation guidelines.
Provide feedback to the head office on market and client needs and requirements.
Support for Local Sales Team:

Coordinate with and support the local sales team in their commercial and technical efforts.
Job Requirements
Professional Experience:

Significant practical experience in the operational side of the packaging industry.
Language Skills:

Proficiency in English and the local language.
Skills and Competencies:

Ability to follow instructions accurately.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to establish strong relationships with clients, persuade when necessary, and resolve issues effectively.
Willingness to travel frequently, especially within West Africa.
Desired Profile
Education:

Technical degree or relevant equivalent in the packaging industry.
Technical Skills:

In-depth knowledge of packaging technologies and processes.
Skills in installation and maintenance of packaging equipment.
Interpersonal Skills:

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
Mobility:

Ready to travel frequently and respond to short-notice travel requirements.
