Description du poste

Chemonics seeks an Administrative & Financial Assistant to join the ongoing Human Resources for Health in 2030 – One Health Activity in Cote d’Ivoire. HRH2030 is a five-year global cooperative agreement that builds on USAID’s investments to improve the health workforce. HRH2030 contributes to increasing the sustained availability, accessibility, acceptability, and quality of the health workforce for strengthened health systems for achievement of Sustainable Development Goals. HRH2030 supports low- and middle-income countries worldwide to develop the health workforce needed to prevent maternal and child deaths, reach the goals of Family Planning 2020, control the HIV/AIDS epidemic, and protect communities from infectious diseases.

The assistant will be expected to provide administrative and financial support specifically to the COVID-19 focused activities, assisting the Multisectoral Health Security Advisor (MHSA) in daily tasks for the project. The expected level of effort (LOE) of this role is full time from June – October of 2020. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world.

Responsibilities include:
• Maintain administrative systems, including but not limited to communication logs and filing systems
• Record meeting minutes at all pertinent meetings and distribute to appropriate team members
• Coordinate procurement needs, including identification of suitable vendors, collection of price quotes, and assist project operations team to document office supply inventories
• Assist technical staff in arranging travel, visas, hotel accommodations, project drivers’ schedules, and customs expeditors for all project-related travel
• Coordinate logistics for all program events, including conferences and trainings
• Provide any other administrative support such as filing, copying, completing errands as assigned by leadership to ensure efficient support to the project
• Scan and label all payment vouchers including coding sheet and backup documentation
• Assist in making cash deposit/withdrawal (if any) into/from the Project’s bank accounts
• Update database information for vendor bank account details
• Prepare Excel sheet vendor/staff payment information for uploading into our payment platform
• Maintain a good knowledge and understanding of all office rules and procedures as set forth in the field office policy manual and the Field Accounting and Compliance Manual

Profil du poste

Qualifications:
• At least 3-5 years of experience in project administration
• At least 1-2 years of experience working in finance/accounting
• Mastery of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Word
• Experience in USAID-funded public health programs in a developing country context
• Ability to work with cooperating partners in implementing complex programs
• Excellent interpersonal and writing and oral communications skills; proven diplomatic and public relations skills
• Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity
