AN INTERPRETATION CONSULTANT

The African Water Association and IHE Delft Institute for water education are conducting a research study titled ‘Institutional capacity building needs for the implementation of city-wide inclusive sanitation in Cote d’Ivoire and Ghana’. The general objective of the research is to understand sanitation institutions and suggest which capacity to build for the implementation of inclusive sanitation at the level of the city (city-wide sanitation – CWIS) in Côte d’Ivoire and Ghana. The research is conducted by student Angela Kapembwa, from Zambia, who will require information that will satisfy the objective stated. For data collection in Côte d’Ivoire, interviews with WASH experts are planned.
Given that the selected respondents are French-speaking while the Researcher/Interviewer is French-speaking, the services of an interpreter will be needed.
Objective
Carry out Liaison Interpreting from English to French and vice versa during the execution of interviews of about ten (10) sanitation stakeholders in five (05) utilities in Abidjan - Cote d’Ivoire.
Expected Result
The interviews with all French-speaking respondents are well performed.
