HSE SUPERVISOR

Overview of Position:
This position is responsible for ensuring all operational departments comply with company’s stated Quality and Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) management standards, policies and procedures.
The key quality management focus is to ensure that products and services delivered to clients are compliant with our policies and stated standards.
The key OH&S management focus is on ensuring that all company activities are carried out safely and in accordance with our standards and procedures.
The position provides technical information and guidance to line management including; compliance, best practice and company policies.
Roles & Responsibilities:
• Delivery of company HSE training modules in accordance with published matrix. Ensuring that correct records are retained, and the matrix is updated.
• Assisting company operational personnel in completing documentation required by the OH&S management system including; Job Hazard Analysis, Tool box talks, accident/incident reporting forms, inspection records, and other necessary documents.
• Attending client work sites to carry out audits of our operations to ensure compliance to required work standards and documentation.
• Carry out internal auditing of company QMS and OH&S management systems, compile audit reports and ensure findings are recorded on CPA database.
• Follow up and verify close out of NCR’s/SDR’s
• Act as the focal point in accident/incident investigations ensuring compliance to relevant procedures.
• Review Quality and OH&S management system documentation periodically in accordance with stated review periods.
• Carry out inspections of company field activity at own and customer locations, ensuring reports and findings are processed in accordance with relevant GEV procedures.

• Strong understanding of field application of OH&S standards.
High standard of training delivery competency.
• Sound problem-solving ability to understand, articulate, structure and solve company personnel needs relating to OH&S issues.
Communication skills:
• Ability to communicate at all levels within an organization.
• Keen sense of customer service with particular regard to ensuring client OH&S requirements are communicated and achieved.
• Methodical and thorough with good ability to prioritize tasks
• Strong bi-lingual communications
• Ability to elaborate clear and concise action/status reports in a professional manner
• Collaborative, confident, reliable and approachable personality with good team spirit
Mature sense of organization and planning
Technical /Professional Skills & Competencies:
• Certifications / Education
• NEBOSH international certificate or equivalent vocational experience
• Minimum 5 years experience in a similar position
• Bi-lingual English/French
• BOSIET - Offshore survival
• IMIST
• Training competency to ensure suitable delivery and assessment of in house training delegates
