SECURITY MANAGER IVORY COAST

The primary purpose of the Security Manager is to ensure the protection of people & assets within VFS
locations.The role requires collaboration with all stakeholders from Operations and Corporate Security.
The tasks and functions below, may not be an exhaustive list and may be altered by the RSM as per
requirements by the company. Area of Responsibility as directed by RSM.

1. General Security Management
a) Travel to other regional countries will be on a needs basis only
b) Manage the security operations and render support.
c) Manage an effective training program for Security guards and operational staff as per SOP’s
d) Manage all incidents and closure thereof, escalating as per matrix.
e) Ensure adherence to WIM of the specific missions as relates to security matters.
f) Conduct periodic risk assessments, audits and self-assessments based.
g) Ensure updating of Risk Register closing all risks and identifying new risks and threats to
operations.
h) Obtain daily VAC health checks to ensure security processes are adhered to.
i) Work closely with Security Service Provider to ensure compliance with legal and statutory
requirements.

2. Emergency Response & Crisis Management
a) Follow the guidelines and SOP’s to handle security incidents and crises.
b) Ensure quarterly Emergency Evacuation drills are conducted as per policies.
c) Plan for trainings & awareness of the first responders, Fire and 1st Aid Team
3. Physical Security
a) Ensure the implementation, management, operation, and maintenance, of physical security
measures and security systems - Perimeter protection, Access Control System, CCTV system,
Intrusion Detection System, and Security Lighting.
b) Ensure proper management, control, and maintenance, of physical access authorization
procedures and access control rights.
c) Investigate any occurrences of breach of physical security and do the root cause analysis, along
with carrying out suggested preventive and corrective actions.

4. Personnel Security
a) Ensure general security awareness
b) Appropriately investigate security incidents and other cases of ethics/code of conduct that
require Corporate Security assistance.

5. Information Security
a) Ensure that the VFS Global Information Security policies are implemented uniformly in
security operations.

 Ability to train and impart awareness to motivate the core security team as well as employees.
 Unblemished track record and high levels of personal integrity.
 Exemplary written and verbal communication in English, including ability to write reports on both
