Who are we and what are we doing?
PEG offers Asset-Based Asset Based Financing (PAYG) to consumers who do not have access to both reliable electricity and formal banking services. PEG's flagship product - a basic solar home system with three lights, a phone charger and a radio - gives consumers with $ 5 to $ 10 a day access to clean light for work and study after hours working, to avoid air pollution by kerosene-based lighting solutions, and also create credit for additional products and services over time.
PEG Côte d'Ivoire has grown from 10 employees to more than 109 employees in Côte d'Ivoire in the last two years. In addition to that, we have more than 280 commission sales agents, more than 26 service centers in Côte d'Ivoire and we have subsidiaries in Ghana and Senegal, PEG also have more than a dozen investors and donors.
The Position
Title: Energy Manager
Job responsibilities:
• Lead all aspects of sales (develop and execute growth strategy)
• Responsible for achieving sales revenue and engage in strategy to accomplish them
• Create monthly sales plan, responsible for execution with the team and analyse learnings after the month
• Responsible for P&L and have a good understanding of spendings versus earnings
• Working with various head of departments to coordinate activities
• Manage sales budget and related KPIs
• Reporting to SSC Director & Field Sales Director
• Formulate successful strategies to increase B2B sales and ensure annual goals are attained;
• Successfully develop, organize, strategically position, prepare and issue winning proposals and presentations;
• Assist with the development of sales plans to maximize existing relationships and identify new opportunities in direct sales
• Work with all relevant functional groups including but not limited to, Sales and senior management, to build strategic relationships and alliances with local communities and local organizations to drive indirect sales to various group members
Profil du poste
The successful candidate must have:
• An experience of 5+ years of senior level experience managing role in sales / strategy in telco, fast-paced start-up, or top consulting firm.
• Possession of an additional Business related qualification will be an added advantage
• Result oriented and goal focused individual
• Demonstrable achievements in building and managing with several functions
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of cultures in a diverse community
• Ideally have experience building a sales team from scratch
• Strong leadership skills, including ability to foster a cooperative work environment amongst the functional heads.
• Bilingual (english / french)
• Work experience in West Africa
