METALLURGIST

1. Roles

This role is responsible to assist the metallurgists group in providing technical support to Process Plant Operations. In charge of all metallurgical test work and other metallurgical measurements at the Agbaou gold plant.

Major tasks and responsibilities of position

1. Make sure safety comes first
2. Assist Senior Metallurgist and provide feedback on opportunities for improvement and areas of risk
3. Provide accurate records and results of metallurgical testing
4. Coordinate metallurgy laboratory daily activities
5. Ensure optimal and profitable metallurgical performance by actively participating in the activities of the production team.
6. Analyze the accuracy of daily metallurgical reports.
7. Be proactive in ensuring optimal plant recovery parameters
8. Identify opportunities for process improvement
9. Follow consumption and communicate the main reagent stocks needed
10. Help in the operation of the gold room
11. Participate in gold inventories in the circuit sampling and investigate deviations
12. Monitor the use of consumables and reagents
13. Promote and adhere to appropriate methodologies, policies, procedures and internal standards.
14. Constantly maintain a high quality of work within the team.
15. Follow the quality control of the main reagent and advice
16. In charge of QAQC testing and reporting
17. Promote and adhere to health and safety policies and procedures by demonstrating and constantly encouraging safe work practices.
18. Ensure that procedures, safeguards and standard controls are applied and used.
19. Hold statutory and internal reports, as needed.
20. Analyze deviations in the metallurgical control measures (pH, reagent titration, coal concentration, pulp density in the tanks ...)
21. Ensure equipment calibration: pH meter, Oximeter, calibration of TAC 1000 and WAD 1000

Profil du poste

2. Position Requirements

1. At least five (05) years’ experience in a similar position
2. Fluent and fully literate in French
3. Fluent in English
4. Extractive Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering Degree or recognized equivalent.
5. Ready to work in shift with high technology equipment and learn new work technics
