CRANE OPERATOR (OPERATEUR DE GRUE)
Description du poste
1. Roles
The incumbent will lift heavy loads using the cranes by Agbaou site, erect scaffolding when and where required, rig up loads to be lifted, ensure that the task are carried out safely and meet with Agbaou tasks procedure and Loss control Policies and standards.
Major tasks and responsibilities of position
1. Be familiar and comply with Company and site management safety system and be proactively involved in ensuring the objectives are implemented
2. Follow procedures, including , but no limited to code of conduct, fit to work, Discrimination and Harassment
3. Attend mandatory staff Toolbox Meetings
4. Lifting Tasks bye reviewing data or inspecting work sites before starting any major lifts using mobile, overhead cranes or other rigging equipment where and when required depending on the task
5. Ensure that all mobile equipment are in good running condition and expedite repairs where and when needed
6. Develop lifting plans to ensure the correct lifting apparatuses are used; the operating radius is correct
7. Before lifting the charge, ensure that it is properly rigged and will not fail once in the air
8. He will have a license and be familiar to use: bobcat, forklift2T, Backhoe, telehandler with all attachments
9. Erect and remove scaffolding used on site Ensure that all scaffolding structure erected on site are inspected and tagged as per “SCFTAG” regulation
10. O, daily basis, ensure that pre start inspections are carried out for all cranes, trucks and light vehicles as per PT NNT regulation
11. Assist the supervisor by coaching others in the duties of the position
Develop procedures as required for mobile crane rigging and scaffolding requirements as per PT NNT STP procedures and standards
Profil du poste
2. Position Requirements:
1. Mobile crane driving and operation above 60t capacity.
2. Experience and qualifications suitable to carry crane and rigging requirements to the standards required by Agbaou Maintenance Management.
3. Successfully complete a pre-employment medical.
4. Successfully completed a pre-employment theory and practical assessment.
5. 5 years’ experience in crane driver role, preferably within the mining industry.
6. Prior experience on a mine site as a tradesperson.
7. Fluent in French, reading and writing.
8. Schooling to secondary level.
9. Erect and dismantle scaffolding
10. Perform riggings tasks of loads up to 200 tones.
11. Crane License for hydraulic cranes to 120 tones
12. Read and interpret crane signals.
13. Compile and execute lifting plans.
14. Knowledge and experience in calculating weigh of loads
15. Have a rigging certificate or course to advance level
16. Scaffolding experience, certificate or course to advance level.
17. Able to take control of a lift and assume responsibility of the lift.
