GRADUATE METALLURGIST

Roles
This role is responsible to assist the Plant Metallurgists in providing technical support to Process Plant Operations. In charge of all metallurgical test work and other metallurgical measurements at the Agbaou gold plant.
Major tasks and responsibilities of position
- Make sure safety comes first
- Provide accurate records and results of metallurgical testing
- Notify metallurgist of any action or incidents that may compromise the integrity of the test results
- In charge of the plant reagent stock take
- Coordinate with plant operator to cover the sections all times
- Inspect Sampling station and report any abnormalities
- Inspect the samples tools (equipments, machinery etc…) and report defects to the Plant Metallurgist
- Read to understand and to obey standard operating procedures
- Provide accurate records and results of metallurgical testing
- Be able to relieve and assist others operators
- Fill in log sheets, checklists
- Process Metallurgical measurement (pH, reagents titration, Carbon level, slurry density to CIL...)
- Record / collect data to track equipment performance pHmeter, oxymeter TAC 100 and WAD 1000 calibration
- Check and clean the metric sensor
- Conduct all metallurgical testing or sampling by the deadlines set by the Metallurgist
- Prepare metallurgical sample for dispatch to offsite laboratory for testing
- Grinding test
- Carbon activity test
- Bottle roll test…
Profil du poste
Position Requirements:
- At least one (01) year experience in a similar position
- Fluent and fully literate in French
- Fluent in English
- Extractive Metallurgy, Chemical Degree or recognised equivalent.
- Ready to work in shift with high technology equipment and learn new work technics
