INVENTORY MANAGER

PEG delivers Pay-As-You-Go (PAYG) asset-based financing to consumers who lack both access to reliable electricity and formal banking services. PEG’s anchor product, a basic solar home system that includes three lights, a phone charger, and a radio, allows consumers living on $5-10 per day to access clean light for working and studying after hours, avoid harmful air pollution from kerosene based lighting solutions, and also build credit for additional products and services over time. We work at the intersection of the most exciting trends in Africa - solar, digital finance, machine-to-machine technology - and are backed by venture capital and private equity, including a fortune 500 company. PEG has 160 full time staff across Ghana and Ivory Coast, and a large network of sales people. Key Responsibilities As a Supply Chain and Inventory Manager, you would plan, coordinate and monitor the transfer of goods and materials from manufacturers and suppliers all the way through to customers. You will oversee the whole process from beginning to end or work in part of the chain. Supply chains are made up of different operations, which include everything from forecasting trends and buying through to transport and distribution. The duties and tasks required of the Supply Chain and Inventory Manager are as follows

• Work with Finance and Operations department to select products that are in demand and will sell

• Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers

• Plan the best way to get goods from suppliers to warehouse

• Analyze Economic Order Quantity to attain optimal stock levels

• Track shipments and stock levels for all inventory items

• Work with Agent Care to make sure Service Centers receive their goods on time and in the right condition

• Generate meaningful reports on key performance indicators for management review

• Look at ways to improve supply chain networks

• Monitor overall performance to make sure targets are being met

• Prepare forecasts and inventories for reports to the company's management team

• Review or update supply chain practices in accordance with new or changing environmental policies, standards, regulations, or laws.

• Work with Finance department to develop costs forecasts or standard cost lists.

• Assess appropriate material handling equipment needs and staffing levels to load, unload, move, or store materials.

• Conduct data analysis and investigate reasons for unfavorable stock levels

• Conduct data analysis and produce a monthly swap rate Service Center league table an offer solutions for unfavorable results

• Monitor the swaps to ensure there are adequate stock levels to prevent the use of complete systems for swaps.

• Negotiate prices and terms with suppliers, vendors, or freight forwarders.

• Monitor supplier performance to assess ability to meet quality and delivery requirements.

• Monitor forecasts and quotas to identify changes or to determine their effect on supply chain activities.

• Meet with suppliers to discuss performance metrics, to provide performance feedback, or to discuss production forecasts or changes.

• Develop or implement procedures or systems to evaluate or select suppliers.

• Document physical supply chain processes, such as workflows, cycle times, position responsibilities, or system flows.

• Confer with supply chain planners to forecast demand or create supply plans that ensure availability of materials or products.

• Analyze inventories to determine how to increase inventory turns, reduce waste, or optimize customer service.

• Develop procedures for coordination of supply chain management with other functional areas, such as sales, marketing, finance, Operations.

• Other duties assigned.

Profil du poste

Qualifications

• Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics and Supply Chain, Warehouse Management, Business Administration or a relevant field. Masters in Supply Chain Management is an advantage.

• at least 5 years’ Experience in Supply Chain Management or a related role

• Excellent skills in Excel

• Strong analytical skills and problem solving skills

• Strong Written and Verbal Communication and Interpersonal Skills

• Organized, efficient and detailed

• Ability to multi-task and work to tight time scales without compromising quality

• Able to work independently and on a team
