Senior Engineer RNPO LTE

The Network RAN Planning/Design Engineer is primarily responsible for design and capacity planning for mobile networks. Monitoring of network performance during rollout or capacity expansion; maintaining the system within set KPIs and expansion path network capacity and performance.
Provides radio frequency (RF) and/or Radio Access Network (RAN) design. Designs, plans and oversees installation, maintenance and optimization of wireless radio access network communications systems, including radio propagation modeling and received signal prediction utilizing specific planning tools for wireless technologies
- Implement the global policy of infrastructures (hardware and software), production, network management of the LTE /WiMAX networks of MTN CI to support strategic business growth
- Implement mechanisms and structures that will ensure optimum network availability, utilization, revenue and network service assurance
- Check and ensure that all projects related to LTE are properly planned and executed in accordance to business strategy
- Follow up Implementation of the LTE FDD/TDD Network
- Provide assistance in resolving all major vendor issues, problems and evolutions
- Ensure adherence to Group Process and Initiatives
- Maintain accurate and thorough knowledge of the network status at all times
- Set up and manage service level agreements with service and equipment providers.
- LTE Initial network tuning and optimization.
- Follow the Managed Services Provider operations in the LTE (E-RAN). Analyze the feedback after a change
- Make network improvement recommendations and ensure that they are integrated into
- Network planning and operations
- Network KPI/QoS report and Analysis
Profil recherché
- Electronics or Telecommunications Engineering degree
- 5 Years’ experience in the telecommunication industry
- 5 years GSM/Mobile network planning and operational support experience
- Broad experience in Telecoms field (i.e. database, infrastructure, enterprise applications and billing systems)
- 5 years of RAN planning and design experience
- Strong knowledge of RF engineering principles (RF communications theory, design principles, network optimization, propagation modeling and prediction, etc.). Must have RAN and LTE experience (2 years minimum)
- Performance management (system KPIs and metrics, etc.)
- Test Tools and software (JDSU, Tektronics, Probes, IBUs, etc.). Signaling is the most important skill set – training on tools can be provided if needed
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent computer/reporting skills, including a high level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications and other database/project management tracking tools
- Highly organized and able to multi-task and work effectively with limited supervision
- Highly motivated self-starter able to work under aggressive project schedules.
