HEAD OF MARKETING AND SALES WCA

To lead, motivate, and develop effective Marketing and Sales teams that secure the country-group objectives and contribute learnings to Healthcare divisions and Bayer by identifying needs, demonstrating situational leadership, providing direction, coaching, and ensuring development of team members. 

To supervise the development and implementation of highly effective and compliant  marketing and promotional activities by team that ensures sustainable growth for Healthcare division by making sure that the “license to operate” is reinforced through strict adherence to internal company policies and standards as well as relevant regulations and industry codes of conduct and standards. 

To prepare and implement annual and multi-year business plan to achieve strategic financial and market share objectives by leading the bottoms-up budgeting and forecasting process and optimizing growth, costs, working capital, and internal controls. 

To establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to ensure strong collaboration in addressing business challenges by developing contacts, regularly visiting, and identifying opportunities with distributors, key accounts, etc. 

To identify and develop talents within the Healthcare West-Central Africa team, ensuring a robust future organization by maximizing use of Bayer talent development tools, creating opportunities for talents, and personally engaging in their development. 

To ensure the efficient and collaborative functioning of the Marketing and Sales teams for solid and consistent execution and business growth by supervising and evaluating the development of brand and product portfolio strategies and plans as well as the development and implementation of promotional team business plans.

Qualifications:

  • Post graduate marketing or business qualifications
  • Fluent in both French and English
  • University degree in technical field preferred Experience:
  • At least 10 years’ experience in marketing and sales, preferably in healthcare
  • Management experience in leadership role
  • Experience in West or Central Africa region Competencies:
