GLOBAL LEADERSHIP GIVING CAMPAIGN (GLGC) PROJECT ASSISTANT

SOS Children’s Villages Organisation established in 1949 is a social development organisation working globally to meet the needs and protect the interests and rights of children who are at risk of losing parental care and children without parental care. SOS Children’s Villages international is the umbrella organisation that provides support and guidance to SOS member associations in over 134 countries worldwide. 

As part of its programme development, SOS Children’s Village Cote d’Ivoire is in the process of recruiting a Global Leadership Giving Campaign Project Assistant. 

Main duties and responsibilities: 

Under the supervision of the GLGC Projects Manager, the Assistant supports the development, set-up and implementation of GLGC ProjectsHis/her primary duties are to ensure projects are implemented in a timely and qualitative manner (SOS CVI quality requirements) and as per donor needs and requirement.  He/she supports the development, set-up and implementation of relevant mechanisms, processes, procedures and tools, in line with organisational requirements and local context.   He/she supports the monitoring and reporting on progress regarding the portfolio of GLGC projects, according to national association, GSC and donors requirements.  He/she supports initiatives to ensure National Association (NA) Programme teams have the required capacity to implement, sustain and further develop programme interventions on an ongoing basis. 

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree (or equivalent) in psychology,  social work, community/programme development, education, community health, child and youth development or related field
  • At least 3 years’ experience in project management, monitoring and evaluation and providing support to field offices
  • Proficient and knowledgeable in programme development
  • Good understanding of the development contexts, and experience in coordinating processes with large and varied groups of stakeholders
  • Ability to work well in teams and independently
  • Ability to work well in fast-paced, high expectancy and multicultural environment
  • Commitment to the values of SOS CVI
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Fluency in French (written and spoken); Fluency in English is an asset
