Mission of the role
Drive the business performance and shareholders sustainable value creation by :
- Ensure the financial reliability of business processes, valuation & accounting
- Ensure an optimized business planning process from short to long term forecast
- Providing a constantly up-dated vision of the business profitability & cash flows (short & long term) while managing the business risk
- Challenging & empowering the whole organization towards excellence
- Develop team, people and finance organization
Main Responsibilities & Kpi’s
- Make sure that the business is in line with plans & strategy and provide the required financial vision to GM & all members
- Identify opportunities for value creation improvement especially through the strategic planning process
- Lead, plan and prepare the annual budget, rolling forecasts and latest estimates in a predictable way for the business according to the company business plan.
- Assess & manage all the business risks in co-ordination with the headquarter
- Take full responsibility for financial statements & company assets
- Capabilities to ensure the accounting set up and ongoing accounting process of a local factory
- Ensure our company accounting compliance with IFRS rules, local legislation and group rules.
- Coordinate and elaborate all the annual statements & reports to the legal and fiscal entities in order to comply with local legislation and internal procedures.
- Plan and support the internal and external audits to guarantee the legal financial certification of our accounts and the compliance with internal standards.
- Manage operational & financial risks. Responsible for the is/it function
- Ensure the application of group policies and procedures
- Ensure adequate (proactive) financial internal communication within the CBU and towards the headquarter
- Analyze and provide the other dpts/teams with the financial information in terms of business performance and implement corrective measures to guarantee the achievement of our targets.

- Develop financial awareness and value creation understanding by implementing training programs and providing business intelligence & benchmarking
- As a member of the local management team, show empowerment and pro-activity to play a role of business leader and make sure decisions are being properly implemented.
Achievements in 1 - 3 years
- Stabilize Ivorian subsidiary accounting processes :
- Ensure accuracy of accounting flows in OpenERP System (AP, AR, Inventories)
- Ensure proper management of intercompany flows (purchasing reconciliation and interco margin calculation)
- Optimize funding (loan 3 M€)
- Secure tax risk (transfer pricing, VAT, duty taxes...)
- Implement Ivorian subsidiary controlling basics:
- Build CANN analysis (per product, channels, volume/price/mix) to ensure proper reporting basics and adequate drive of the business
- Build CO analysis per product to contribute to innovation process
- Build Investment follow-up and ROI approach
- Build adequate follow up of overheads and sales force (wages, T&E…)
- French Speaking Africa Area business contribution
- Ensure internal control basics through hosting company monitoring
- Participate and improve GPS awareness through local sales accuracy
- Build regular processes (closing, budget…) and a framework to improve autonomy of finance dept

Education & Professional Experiences Needed
- Academic post-graduation level of education in Finance, Economics and Business management
- Strong analytical skills, proven track record in influencing financial and operational performance. The character to fit an entrepreneurial business culture.
Functional Competencies Needed & Technical Skills
- Excellent Finance and IS system knowledge
- Managerial & Management team experience
- Sound knowledge of IAS & IFRS regulations
- Commercially hands on role giving continued financial advice to the leadership team and delivering strategic business plans
- Project management, value chain understanding
- Methodical work approach
Managerial Competencies and Personal Skills Needed
- At least 3 to 5 yrs. of proven experience on Management level
- Excellent leadership skills and mindset
- Experience in change/transition programs
- Can be described as: Open, transparent, credible, leader, team player, creative, initiator, builder, socially perceptive and good communicator.

Language 1 and Level: French fluent
