Job Introduction:

Reporting to the Finance Director and working with other senior business managers, the Business Analyst will support the Finance Director in the review and analysis of financial controls and cost controls and related activities.   

Role Responsibility:

• Review the financial performance of the business on a monthly basis offering information to support effective decision making.
• Produce monthly results comments & analysis to enable the company departments to understand the performance of the business.
• Prepare client and activity level costing information.
• Recommend and promote cost control initiatives.
• Participate in other projects as required.
• Support decision making through analysis of operational & financial information.
• Be accountable for providing financial monitoring services for project spend.
• Ensure that the annual Business plans, KPIs, budget are internally coherent and supportive.
• Identify opportunities & challenges to increase Revenue & decrease costs.
• Preparing monthly profit and loss statement by customer.
•  Taking part in monthly business review.
• Provide continuous performance monitoring identifying key trends and proposing actions to capture opportunities and avoid threats.
• Supporting the functional heads in understanding their cost base and variance to budget through creation of value added analysis of results, identifying opportunities for cost reduction and finding solutions to avoid risks.

Qualifications and Experience

• University Degree in Accounting/Finance
• Professional accounting, Qualified CPA or ACCA qualification.
• 2 to 5 Years experience in a similar role or a manager position in a world class finance environment.
• Specific exposure to Credit control/Debt management practices will be an absolute advantage.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• MS Office Computer skills (Excel and other Finance systems)
