RESPONSIBILITIES

Purpose 

Provide leadership for the Quality and Food Safety Program (Q&FS) for the Cameroon Flour Mill through a thorough knowledge of Olam Policies, Standards and Codes of Practice and to provide governance reporting that these requirements are implemented.

Key Accountabilities

  • Develop and lead team of Q&FS professionals capable of providing technical guidance and support to the CM activities
  • Product development and additive cost reduction
  • Manage the CM Q&FS program ensuring that areas of risk are identified and agreed priorities delivered.
  • Ensure that all business activities within the MATS infrastructure comply to legal requirements of Cameroon
  • Provide hands on shop floor training progressing to train the trainer approach
  • Directly support the MATS CM Head through provision of expertise and as a specialised resource
  • Ensure that the requirements of the Food Safety Program are fully understood and provide assurance that the Standards are implemented and sustainable
  • Provide assurance that all materials purchased and goods sold comply with the Quality Standards for that material.
  • Review all Q&FS related investigations to ensure true root cause has been identified.
  • Develop maturity gap profiles, action plans and provide support
  • Represent the business as appropriate in key forums and as the technical expert with relevant government authorities and interpret changes to their requirements.

Description du profil du candidat :

PRE-REQUISITES

  • A degree in a relevant scientific or technical discipline In-depth knowledge in all the key areas of Q&FS in Wheat Flour Milling (Minimum 10 years’   experience in Flour Milling)
  • A skilled auditor of Q&FS related management systems
  • The ability to work as a member of the CM team
  • Understand the business and CM priorities
  • A collaborative style with the ability to build partnerships
  • Good analytical and organisational skills
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills
  • Proven people management skills at a senior level
  • Passion to drive continuous improvement
  • Eagerness to seek and share best practice

  • Practitioner :  Actively practices the competency, in day to day operations as well as to contributes to policy and strategic aspects of the function
