PROJECT DELIVERY ENGINEER
Job description
As Solution Project Delivery Engineer you will have to integrates, configure and test the Gemalto solutions (GTO applications, 3rd parties, HW and equipments) in compliancy with specifications of the customer, project plan and Gemalto requirements.
You will also have to represent Gemalto vertical at customer premises and defends its interests.
She/he assists and supports the customer in post delivery phase in using the Gemalto solutions, and ensures its good transition to the support team at project closure.
Main responsibilities:
1. Integrate and configures the Gemalto offers in compliancy with specifications of the customer, project plan, and Gemalto requirements.
- Analyzing, building and describing the solution including Gemalto offers and third party software
- Writing Solution Integration Plan (SIP) by describing the complete hardware solution (Servers, racks, firewall, …)
- Realizing the hardware acceptance
- Installing and deploying the Gemalto solutions and 3P on hardware
- Writing the customer acceptance plan possibly in collaboration with a Validation team
- Configuring clusters to manage Gemalto application for HA (High Availability)
- Contributing to the global solution integration and test strategy
- Performing the integration test on the solution
- Ensuring configuration management on integration resources
- Integrating and deploying the solution at the customer site within the customer infrastructure
- Integrating and deploying the solution in hosted mode at Gemalto data centers
- Connecting the solution to external flows (SMSC/MSC/IN…)
2. Represent Gemalto Global Services at customer premises:
- Executing the acceptance test plan with the customers
- Guaranteeing the solution integrity according to customer requirements
- Providing assistance to the customer after the installation
- Training the customer on the deployed solution when necessary
3. Assist the development and validation team during the project and ensures its good transition to the support team:
- Providing support to development and validation teams all along the project
- Ensuring the compliance with rules of implementation and deployment
- Ensuring that the customization effectively meets customer needs
- Writing the Operation and Maintenance guide which permits the transition from project team to support team
Desired Skills and Experience
Education
- Computer Science Engineer/Master’s Degree Engineer/Bachelor degree in Computer Sciences
Experience
- ≥ 3 years as an engineer in IT/Telecom/Application environment.
- ≥ 3 years as an Solution Project Delivery Engineer level 1.
Competencies:
- Software integration on linux based systems;
- Network Architecture (LAN, WAN, Web, Security);
- Hardware Sizing;
- Storage Architectures (SAN, RAID, …)
- GSM Networks overall architecture knowledge
- SS7 (SIGTRAN) knowledge
- Experience with messaging software integration, software connecting SS7 layers in general
