If the answer is yes, then you could be one of Maersk Line’s new Container Sales Managers empowered to sell Maersk Line’s out-fleeted containers – a team that are positioned to generate USD100million in revenue within the next 2 years!

We Offer

Maersk Line is on a journey to develop new revenue streams, one of which is “out-fleeted” container sales. With an ambitious target for delivering significant value to our customers and our company, we are looking to develop Sales Managers who can lead from the front.

As one of the professional Container Sales Managers in Maersk Line's brand new container sales organization, you will learn the essentials of container shipping industry through daily interaction with a wide variety of stakeholders. You will build a very extensive network both externally as well as internally and you will develop the sales skills to allow you to win in a team where above all, results matter.

You will be responsible for your own markets in West Africa – stretching from Senegal over Nigeria to Congo.

The location of the applicant can be anywhere within the scope of the sales region and this job may therefore be posted in other countries as well. A significant amount of business travel in the region should be expected

Key Responsibilities

You will be part of a very result driven team where your key role will be to ensure that containers planned for retirement are sold quickly and at the best possible price.

In your designated geographical area, you will be in charge of building and maintaining a solid customer and supplier network, and you will be responsible for collecting market intelligence.

With the rest of the sales team, you will be involved in setting the container sales strategy. You will carry out the sales and coordinate invoicing and operational planning with the relevant support functions.

Ultimately, you will be expected to leverage your entrepreneurial spirit whilst living the Maersk Line values to create opportunities, and close them.

Who we are looking for

You are either a skilled sales person with an interest in the used container industry or a Technician with knowledge about the container industry looking to develop your commercial savvy. You live up to your word and you are able to work independently.

We require a team player with strong interpersonal skills and who is good at managing many stakeholders. You are an excellent networker, and you know how to build and maintain lasting relationships.

You thrive in a fast moving environment and can cope with tight deadlines. Since you will work in a multicultural environment where we communicate in English, you have excellent verbal and written English skills. Working knowledge of one or more languages in your region is a definite advantage
