Position Description:
The candidate’s main responsibilities will involve the maintenance and administration of the Student
Record Management System
The DBA will be responsible for understanding hardware system operations and the student record management system operations IUGB Profile

BSS is one of the two schools of IUGB. It offers various degree programs in both Business and Political Science leading respectively to the Bachelor of Business Administration, the Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems, the Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, and the Bachelor of Science in Political Science.
Location
IUGB is located in Grand-Bassam, a coastal city about 20 miles east of the economic capital, Abidjan,
Côte d’Ivoire. All instruction is in English. However, applicants should be aware that, while IUGB is an
English medium institution, it is located in a French-speaking environment.
Responsibilities:
The Systems Administrator/DBA will be required to:
- Systems.
- Maintain student record management system database and related systems.
- Install the student record management system on the workstations.
- Regularly back up data.
- Create SQL and student record management system Users.
- Setup student record management system user/group security.
- Setup SQL Server user/group security.
- Perform SQL Server database administration and maintenance.
- Download and install student record management system code updates.
- Add new passwords and users as needed.
- Changes or deletes existing passwords as needed Be proficient in administering Windows Server 2012 Server and Windows Desktop Operating
Qualifications:
Essential Skills and Personal Qualities:
- Solid background in SQL Server 2012
- Familiar with the process for backing up and restoring data from a server
- Understand the business processes and applications being modeled by the database management Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related technical discipline.
- Two to five years of hands-on experience in database implementation and administration (Oracle and/or SQL)
- system
- Thoroughly versed in relational database design
- Knowledgeable in SQL basics
- Creativity and a strong sense of responsibility
- Follow information security policies
- Able to adapt to new database environments and perform changes
- Ability to administer Windows Server 2012 Server and Windows Desktop Operating Systems is a plus
