Description du poste

Sous la responsabilité du responsable des stocks, le planificateur de la demande est chargé de toutes les activités de prévision liées aux besoins d'approvisionnement des clients internes, notamment l'analyse des données historiques, l'examen des facteurs influant sur la demande, la préparation des données prévisionnelles, l'élaboration de modèles de prévision statistiques et l'évaluation des résultats prévisionnels. Ce poste servira également de point de liaison entre les services de maintenance et la chaîne d'approvisionnement.

Profil du poste

• Interact with internal Departments to understand demand forecast drivers
• Develop demand forecasts (operational forecasts) at multiple levels of aggregation for multiple time horizons as part of a demand planning function.
• Provide input to the Supply Planning organization in developing inventory strategies on existing and new items.
• Works closely with HME, Mining and Process Plant Planning, productions, Maintenance, and Infrastructure functions to track and report status and define priorities to meet deliveries and stock levels.
• Manages elevated emergency situations, part shortages and expedites when necessary.
• Works closely with Procurement to determine long-term corrective/preventative measures
• Monitor actual versus planned material consumption and plan resupply as required
• Maintain MRP planning records and project records
• Provide input to facilitate material planning improvements
• Review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, develop statistical forecast models, and evaluate forecast results.
• Coordinate cross-functional research activities to reconcile significant variances and refine the forecast model to reflect updated physicals assumptions.
• Control stock orders with the support of the Material Requirement Planning and min-max parameters
• Utilize a collaborative and consensus approach by working with all Departments to obtain and ensure that current and accurate information is used for demand forecasts
• Address supply and demand related challenges using the appropriate problem-solving and investigation method
• Use and maintain the Demand Planning software, including EAM & Excel as the primary forecasting system tool
• Investigate irregularities and variances between forecasted information and actual information
• Prepare and maintain relevant reports pertaining to demand planning process
• Refine systems and methods to continually improve forecasts so as to better anticipate internal customer needs
• Work hand in hand with the buyers to ensure PO for stock replenishment are placed on a timely manner
• Be the point of contact for HME, Mining and Process Plant planners if questions arise regarding delivery quantity and delivery date.

MRP activities:
• Prepare all information required by the end users (output of MRP run) in order to review and make changes to consumption and planned requirements in the demand planning template. This may include increased consumption, reduced consumption, items that are now obsolete or new items that have been created and approved through Change control.
• Receive output from the users and update MRP
• Run MRP and review the exceptions and the impact of these on stock/orders, discuss and agree changes to be made
• Run MRP with new requirements to convert all agreed changes to PR’s
• Take specific action to ensure that only the PR’s for the exceptions agreed are converted to PO’s
• All discussions are noted on the output document from MRP.
• MRP approved by Inventory Controller.
• Facilitate and manage demand planning meetings with internal customers (HME, Process Plant, Mining planners) on a weekly basis.
• Lead weekly meetings with buyers and the inventory controller to ensure all the replenishment orders are places on a timely manner and properly managed for on time delivery. Get an update from the inventory controller on stock levels including shortage, low stock level and risk of stockout.

Quarterly Demand Planning and Inventory management Reviews:
• Prior to the quarterly reviews, the Demand and MRP specialist will run the required reports and identify, specific planning issues that may lead to short supply, obsolescence or high stock levels.
• The reports will be issued at least a week before the meeting to the participants of the Collaborative Demand Supply team for review with the specific agenda prepared by the Demand/ Supply Chain team
• Identify opportunities where planned orders outside of the firm planned period may present a procurement opportunity to be investigated.
• The Demand and MRP specialist will attend the quarterly meeting and ensure that all actions agreed are updated in the MRP as an outcome of the meeting and will communicate the impact that the changes made will have on the final plan.
• Implement and manage a 6-month look ahead for demand planning.

• Ensure every person within team is fit for work.
• Ensure that agreed procedures, safeguards and controls are applied and used.
• Ensure all activities are conducted safely and in accordance with Company standards and procedures
• Ensure hazard management plans are observed.
• Keep statutory and internal reporting as required.

4. KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS
Safety
• Meet required monthly safety submissions
o 2 per month documented safety interactions
o 1 per month documented Hazard identification reports
o 1 per month documented planned inspections
o Ensure direct reports achieve their monthly safety submissions.
• Rectify 100% of “A” class safety hazards on the same day.
• Achieve zero (0) department fatalities per year
All In Sustaining Costs (AISC)
• Zero (0) unplanned absenteeism per month
• Achieve a minimum of 10% reduction of stock wastage per year
• Generate and share one cost saving idea/initiative per quarter with supervisor
Production KPI
• Attend toolbox meeting with team twice per week
• weekly follow-up on planning versus execution, while taking tactic actions in terms of supply
• Achieve 100 % of forecast accuracy
• Actively contribute to reducing monthly out of stock scenario by 100%

Cashflow
• Achieve zero cost of penalties for violating the country’s regulations
• Attain 100% compliance with Ivorian law regarding importation
