Job Summary
· Provide ongoing mechanical engineering support on maintenance, repair and service of mechanical
equipment, instruments and structures used within the plant to ensure equipment performance,
reliability, HSE and plant optimization.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
· Receive assigned maintenance schedule and request for spares needed to effect repairs from stores
· Maintain records on equipment histories and costs, coordinates with Senior Engineers for needed
changes toward increasing reliability
· Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Senior Engineers from time to time.
· Provide guidance to the technicians in the execution of maintenance works.
· Document project and technical work by setting up necessary files and preparing appropriate
records and reports.
· Diagnose root cause and specify method of repair for plant equipment.
· Analyse, record, troubleshoots equipment problems, and proffer procedure recommendations to
Senior Engineers.
· Enforce accident prevention and occupational health work procedures and regulations.
· Ensure each shift meets documentation, reporting, and follow up requirements as specified in the
H&S program.
· Perform any other duties assigned by the section heads.
QSE Responsibilities
· Know and fully apply DCC's API, IMS, HSSE requirements, policies, procedures.
· Take care of his own health and safety in the workplace and ensure that acts or omissions do not
adversely affect the health and safety of other people.
· Take appropriate measures to minimize risks to quality, health and the environment.
· Communicate any case of hazardous situation to the Top management or QSE representative.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
· Engage in the QHSE system by organizing/participating to all mandatory training and awareness
· Propose and carry out improvement, corrective and/or preventive actions.

Key Requirements
Education and Work Experience
· Bac +5 in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
· Minimum of five (5) years’ work experience in a similar electrical role in an industrial
environment.
Skills and Competencies
· Good knowledge of: the methods, practices, tools, equipment, material and safety procedures used
in the repair and maintenance of electrical equipment.
· Good knowledge of preventive maintenance principles and practices; planning methods and tools,
including planning and scheduling software.
· Good knowledge of applicable codes, standards, specifications and regulation within cement
manufacturing industry.
· Expert knowledge of Electrical engineering and industrial automation,
· Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, drawing, electrical and instrumentation diagram.
· Good knowledge of cement products and cement manufacturing processes (experience as an engineer
desirable), ability to assess equipment performance and report exhaustive based on observed fact
· Good knowledge of safety legislation and rules
· Extensive knowledge of Plant and equipment technology
· In-depth knowledge of local and DCCI approved QHSE policies and norms
· Good knowledge of ISO 9000 standards and TPM
· Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills
· Strong problem solving and analytical skills
· Strong relationship management and communication skills
· Ability to manage multiple priorities.
· Ability to pay attention to details
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites,
