1- PURPOSE & OBJECTIVE

Reporting to the Senior Resource and Senior Mine Geologist Modeling and Reconciliation, the Structural Mine Geologist is responsible for analyzing the geological structure of Lafigue deposit to inform safe and efficient mining operations. This role involves the study of rock formations, geological modeling, and collaboration with mining teams to optimize extraction of ore at Lafigue mine while ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards. The role will provide guidance and support to the Mine Geologists and Geotechnical Engineers in all aspects related to structural formations and controls on Lafigue deposit mineralization, geological update and validation of geological and geotechnical domains of Lafigue deposit as mining progress.

2- KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

General :
- Develop a full understanding of the geology, orebody, structural formations and mineralization controls of the Lafigue Deposit area
- Conduct detailed structural geological assessments of the Lafigue deposit, utilizing geological mapping and structural analysis techniques to identify and evaluate mineral resource potential and provide input into optimal extraction of ore minimizing loss and dilution.
- Develop and manage Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) in pit mapping to geological understanding.
- Manage daily activities on geological/structural mapping in all active and near mine pits by ensuring accurate and relevant data are collected.
- Gather data from geological samples, drill logs, and borehole surveys; interpret geological data to construct accurate geological models for input into grade control modeling.
- Establish correlation of ore and alterations paragenesis with the geological and structural evolution of each pit using collected field data.
- Maintain current geological interpretations in the form of bench plans, of all active pit areas, utilising mapping, logging, and any other available geological data.
- Use 2D/3D application systems to produce reliable geological and structural domains that can feed into the on-going building and revision of Grade Control and resource models.
- Produce geological and structural maps of each pit every 10m or less following the Blast master requirement.
- Provide support to all production related activities and cover Mine Production Geologists roles as required.
- Provide geological data and inputs required to assist the Geotechnical Team in geotechnical domaining.
- Liaise with internal and external structural and mapping consultants.
- Preparation and presentation of the weekly geological mapping activities.
- Production of monthly geological reports for active pits. Health and Safety:

- Implementation of agreed procedures, safeguards, and controls.
- Ensure all activities are conducted safely and in accordance with Company standards and procedures
- Ensure hazard management plans are observed and reported.
- Active participation to the Health, Safety and Environment programs.

3- SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

- Bachelor’s Degree with post graduate qualification in Geology, Geologic Engineering, or an equivalent.
- A minimum of 5 years working experience in the mining sector as a Geology professional.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products.
- Proficient in software packages such as Maptek-Vulcan, Datamine-MapInfo, Datamine-Sirovision, Leapfrog, Dips or similar, in particular a 3D geology and structural modelling software.
- Knowledge practical experience in Linear and Non-Linear Geostatistics and 3D orebody modelling will be advantageous.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
- Effective organizational and time management skills.
- Must have strong communication skills in French, ability to speak and write in English.
- Must have strong interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Must be a self-starter with the ability to work with others in a team environment.
- Adaptability to a changing work environment.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks at the same time.
- Reputation for integrity and ethics.
- Demonstrated leadership skills.
- Hold valid light vehicle driving license.
