1- PURPOSE & OBJECTIVE
Reporting to the Chief Geologist the Senior Resource Geologist is acting as a key technical resource within the Mineral Resource department providing expert level in resource and grade control modeling, estimation, and geological modeling. The Senior Resource Geologist will work back-to-back with the Senior Grade Control Modeling and Reconciliation Geologist in overseeing all geological functions related to development of validated Lafigue resource and grade control block models and reconciliations and provide input on additional drilling both to Exploration and mine geology teams to increase resources and reserves at Lafigue Gold Operations. The Senior Resource Geologist will have key input in validation and generation of Lafigue integrated model and that it follows established Group Standard Operating procedure and the work is conducted within Endeavour established safe work practices.
2- KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Responsibilities:
- Resource and Grade Control Modelling
- Support resource modeling and estimation efforts for exploration, development, and operational mining projects.
- Conduct geological modeling using industry-standard software (e.g. Vulcan, Leapfrog, Surpac, Datamine) to generate accurate 3D resource and grade control models. High proficiency in the application and use of Vulcan and Leapfrog is advantageous.
- Oversee the support and validation of Lafigue Mineral Resource, Integrated and grade control models. This includes model reports compilation with statistical analysis.
- Geological Data Management and Interpretation
- Ensure accurate geological interpretation and synthesis of drill data, core logging and other geological datasets.
- Supervise and mentor Mine Geologists in data collection, analysis, and geological interpretation to enhance the accuracy and consistency of the geological database.
- Provide recommendations on sampling programs, drilling strategies, and other geological data collection techniques.
- Develop and implement QAQC protocols, analyze results of QAQC testing to identify trends and, discrepancies or errors in data collection. Validate collar coordinates through comparison with survey data and DGPS verification and ensure cross-referencing of survey data with collar and geological data to maintain data integrity.
Mine Planning Support
- Work closely with the mine planning and operations teams to support short-term and longterm mine planning, ensuring accurate and efficient scheduling of resources.
- Collaborate with the mining engineers to optimize pit design, mine sequencing, and grade control processes based on resource models.
- Provide geological input into grade control, pit optimization, and mine dilution models to maximize the value of the resource.
- Exploration & Resource Expansion Support to Exploration Team
- Support Lafigue exploration team in evaluation and prioritizing exploration targets to increase the resource base and extend life of mine.
- Collaborate with the Exploration team and liaise with internal and external mineral resource consultants to coordinate all aspects of the geological resource, reserve processes at the Lafigue mine Project.
- Perform detailed geological assessments to guide exploration and resource development strategies.
- Support the Mineral Resource Manager and Chief Geologist on mineral resource drilling Budget/Forecast preparation.
- Health, Safety and Environment:
- Champion a culture of safety within the geological team by adhering to all safety protocols and standards on-site.
- Ensure that all grade control and resource activities are carried out in an environmentally responsible manner, minimizing environmental impact.
- Actively participate in site safety meetings and contribute to risk assessments and hazard
analyses.
- Comply with Endeavour’s Environmental and Sustainability Policies.
- Conduct work in a socially responsibly and ethical manner.
- Proactively protect the environment and safety of our employees and communities.
- Comply with all applicable environmental legislation in the jurisdiction we operate to adopt responsible environmental practices.
- Leadership, Mentoring and Continuous Improvement
- Provide mentorship and technical leadership to Mine Geologists.
- Assist in developing the geology team’s skills and capabilities through training, knowledge sharing, and hands-on guidance.
- Foster collaboration within the geology team and across other disciplines, including mining, engineering, and environmental teams.
- Identify within the Mineral Resource Department the knowledge and skills need and develop a staff training and development plan.
- Conduct an effective coaching and mentoring programs for all Projects Geologists with documented records.
- Stay updated on the latest geological software, technologies, and methodologies to improve resource estimation processes
- Identify opportunities for process improvements in geological workflows and data management.
- Contribute to research and development efforts to improve exploration, resource modeling, and mine planning strategies.

3- SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree with post graduate qualification in Geology, Geologic Engineering, or an equivalent.
- Minimum of 8–10 years of experience in the mining industry, with a significant focus on resource geology and resource modeling.
- Strong understanding of geological mapping, drilling techniques, and geological data interpretation
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products.
- Hands-on experience with geological software especially Vulcan and Leapfrog.
- Technical Expertise: Advanced skills in geological interpretation, resource modeling, and mineral resource estimation
- Leadership: Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and develop Mine Geologists
- Problem Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to develop innovative solutions for complex geological challenges
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare technical reports and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in geological modeling, reporting, and data management
- Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams, collaborating with mine planning, operations, processing and environmental teams.
- Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic multicultural mining environment
- Proactive Attitude: Self-motivated and able to take initiative to drive projects forward
- Field Experience: Hands-on experience in exploration and mine geological data collection in remote or challenging environments.
- Hold valid light vehicles driving license.
