EXPLORATION GEOLOGIST

Under the responsibility of the Project Geologist, the main objective of the Exploration Geologist is to be responsible to find and assesse minerals resources by planning/executing surveys, mapping, collecting/analyzing samples (rock, drill core), using geophysical tools, creating 3D models, and writing reports to guide extraction for mining activities.

Activities

- Conduct geological surveys, mapping, drilling programs, and collect rock/soil/fluid samples from promising sites ;
- Use specialized software to interpret data, create geological maps, and build 3D models of potential deposits ;
- Determine the location, size, quality, and extraction risks of deposits ;
- Design, manage, and execute exploration campaigns, coordinating with drilling teams, engineers, and external experts;
- Prepare detailed reports and present findings to management, stakeholders, and community members, ensuring adherence to regulations.

Profil du poste

• Diploma : Masters level preferable in Geology from recognized tertiary Institution ;
• Level of experience : 2 to 3 years working as a geologist in a Greenfields or Brownfields mine environment ;
• Knowledge / Skills : Can supervise drill rigs and sampling teams - experience of RC / Diamond ; Understands and executes surface geochemistry programs ; A proficient logger ; Can make high quality geologic maps ; Use QGIS/ ArcPro ; fluent French & English.
